Instrumentals

Here are 6 pieces that I have recorded from the many that I have composed down the years. One or two are not great but I just liked them anyway. What they all have in common is that each instrumental was recorded in just one sitting and not more than 8 to 10 hours from start to completion which is what you hear now. I really don't dwell too much on making the perfect recording.

Recorded using a Variax 700 guitar on would you believe a Telecaster setting through a Line6 Pod X3 Live. Bass is a cheap Yamaha again through the X3. Drums are EZ drums, recorded with Cubase VST. Done in just 3 hours on 5th March 2008

Guitar is Maverick F3 played through Pod XT

Essentially this is two instrumentals that I recorded some time apart and fused together making it the longest instrumental that I have done at just over 10 minutes long. I personally think that it is the best one I have written to date, I hope you enjoy it.

Guitar is Variax 700 through Pod XT Bean

Originally composed as a song but as I got going my mood changed to create what is now a moody piece and based loosely upon just two chords which was my original intention, an idea I got from Pink Floyd.

Guitar is Gibson SG and Variax 700

Guitar is Gibson SG and Variax 700

The two tunes above are an odd mixture of ideas kinda thrown together in two very different pieces

 Guitar is Variax 700

No idea what this is all about, just recorded what came to my head and as the piece comes to a close you can hear I get rather bored with the whole idea as it doesn't really go anywhere.
